The Southside ISD Education Foundation was created in 2008 in order to seek, cultivate, and obtain funds to be used for developing and expanding educational opportunities for students of our Southside Independent School District (SISD). The foundation has given out more than $6000 in new teacher grants and helped to fund a district wide STEM project call Student Space Flight Program with two $5000 grants which allows for students to compete to send an experiment to space to be tested on the International Space Station. SEF has given more than 25,000 in student scholarships in the last two years and more than $32,000 in Innovation grants in 2018 and 2019.
