About the Southside ISD Education Foundation

The Southside ISD Education Foundation exists to create opportunities that inspire learning, reward excellence, and enrich the educational experience for every Southside ISD student.

Founded in 2008, the Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening public education by investing in innovative classrooms, student achievement, educator excellence, and district-wide initiatives that would not otherwise be possible through traditional school funding.

Since 2015, the Southside ISD Education Foundation has raised more than $1.4 million to support educational excellence across the district. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, business partners, employees, and community members, the Foundation has proudly invested:

More than $205,000 in Innovation and Teacher Grants

More than $215,000 in student scholarships

More than $900,000 in district initiatives and student-centered programs

These investments have supported hundreds of students and educators through programs including the Top Ten Percent Banquet, Top Student Campus Awards, Back to School Bash, District Convocation, Special Education Prom, academic recognition programs, educator appreciation initiatives, student enrichment experiences, and many other opportunities that enhance learning throughout Southside ISD.

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of dedicated community leaders who generously donate their time and expertise in service to our schools. With the support of its Executive Director, the Foundation operates with a commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship while following nonprofit best practices and the highest ethical standards.

Every contribution entrusted to the Foundation is an investment in the future of Southside ISD. Together with our community, we are building brighter futures by empowering students, supporting educators, and expanding opportunities that help every learner succeed.
